Workflow Management
The Workflow Management module is designed to define, execute, and track business processes within the Synergy platform. This module enables users to initiate workflows, complete assigned tasks, and monitor process progress. Authorized users can efficiently manage business workflows and approval processes.
Getting Started
The Workflow Management module is used across the Synergy platform to define, manage, and track business processes. It enables users to initiate workflows, complete assigned tasks, and monitor ongoing and completed processes.
The Workflow Management module can be accessed via the Workflow Management link in the application menu.
NOTE: Only authorized users can access the Workflow Management module. The system administrator must grant both menu and functional permissions to relevant users.
How to Set Up Basic Configuration for Platform Usage?
Before using the platform efficiently, the necessary settings must be configured:

Workflow Design: Developers or authorized users must define workflows, including process steps, decision points, and approval flows.

Role and Permission Management: Users must be assigned appropriate roles and permissions to access and complete workflow tasks.

Task and Approval Definitions: Workflows often involve approvals. Each step must have assigned users, positions, or user groups responsible for completing or approving tasks.

Process Monitoring: The system allows tracking workflow status, pending tasks, completed tasks, and historical approvals.

Notifications and Alerts: Notifications can be configured to inform users of pending approvals, completed tasks, and process updates.
Key Sections in Workflow Management
The Workflow Management module consists of several main sections:
- Pending Tasks: Displays workflows that require user action, including approvals, data input, or process continuation.
- Jobs I've Started: Lists processes initiated by the user, allowing them to track progress and view completed workflows.
- Drafts: Contains workflows that the user has saved but not yet submitted.
- History: Stores completed processes, including approvals, informational workflows, and finalized requests.
Each section provides filtering and search capabilities to quickly access relevant workflows.

- Fast Approve: Allows users to complete tasks without opening the workflow form, streamlining approvals.
- Process Detail Panel: Displays in-depth workflow history, task assignments, and status updates.
- Custom Filters & Sorting: Users can customize workflow views based on assigned tasks, due dates, and statuses.
History of Workflows by User
The History tab displays a list of workflows and processes that the user has previously completed. This screen allows users to view past transactions and access their details. See History of Workflows by User documentation for more details.
List of Pending Processes
The Pending Tasks Process List screen displays a list of workflow processes assigned to the user that require action. Users can view their assigned workflows and see the number of pending tasks within each process. See List of Pending Processes documentation for more details.
